Airport Extreme Mod

While everyone was focusing on the design on the Mac desktops and laptops, we also paid attention on other Apple gadgets.

One of these which deserve more attention is the onion-shaped Apple Airport Extreme (1999 - 2007), also known as the "flying saucer", which is, in our opinion, the best-looking wireless router ever.

Since its first version, the Airport Extreme has undergone several minor upgrades. It is however sad that in 2018, Apple announced the discontinuation of its Airport line, effectively leaving the consumer router market.

To extend the lifespans of this legendary wireless router, we have thought of other modify ideas. One of these is to transform it into an external hard disk. Yet, after evaluation we think this transformation is not good. The Airport Extreme should be an Airport Extreme...

So we are looking forward to upgrading this router updated wireless standard.
